The Preparation: Getting It Right From the Start
As with every project we take on, the preparation was as important as the painting itself. The before photos show a perfectly functional cream kitchen, but one that needed thorough preparation before a single drop of new colour could be applied. All surfaces were carefully cleaned, lightly sanded, and primed to ensure the topcoat would bond correctly and deliver the flawless, lasting finish that a professional spray respray demands.
Every worktop, appliance, tile, and floor surface was then meticulously masked and protected with professional paper and tape — a process that takes considerable time and care, but which makes all the difference to the quality of the finished result. The during photos give a real sense of the level of work that goes into a job like this before the spray gun even comes out.
The Result: A Complete Transformation
The finished kitchen is, quite simply, stunning. The warm golden tones of the existing granite worktops complement Teresa’s Green perfectly — the stone’s natural amber and caramel tones providing a beautiful warmth against the cool softness of the green. The chrome hardware sits cleanly against the painted surfaces, and the overall effect is fresh, calm, and genuinely premium.
The utility room, finished in the same colour, has been equally transformed — a practical space given a proper sense of style and continuity with the kitchen it adjoins.
